Elham Amiri, Director & Cofounder
MSc Astrophysics
Elham dedicated her master’s thesis to developing and designing teaching material and exercise guides on the operation and data collection of a remotely operated telescope in Australia and the subsequent data analysis through scientific software. The work was done in line with the curriculum of the Astronomy C elective in Danish high schools.
She has many years of experience working as the head coordinator of the well-known visitor’s service at the Physics Department of Aarhus University. She trained instructors in presentations and conducting exercises. She has a considerable network among teachers at Danish high schools.
Elham was a part of the Danish Broadcasting Networks’s Live TV show ‘Rumrejsen 2018’ and has also been a student ambassador for Aarhus University with the task of developing content for the university’s Instagram platform.
Shaeema Zaman, Director & Cofounder
PhD Quantum Physics, MSc Astrophysics
Shaeema is a physicist and science communicator who moved to Denmark from India for her PhD at Aarhus University. She designed science kits in India for 5 years at a science communication company. The experience gained there is value in the development of QASE Tech's kits as there are many elements that overlap during the product development of the kits.
During her Ph.D. at Aarhus University, she worked on quantum physics research, education, and outreach using games and simulations. She was one of the nominees for the Danish Women in Physics 2021 prize for her dedication to physics teaching and outreach.
She also co-mentored a quantum physics outreach training program in a pan-European H2020 MSCA-ITN research project - QuSCo, during her PhD. She has also worked outside academia as a scientific content creator and science communicator both in India and Denmark.
